Lifting his eyes when he heard a rustle of fabric, Axel stared at the man a moment, his expression growing gradually more confused the longer he looked at him. He had seen many an odd thing in his day, but a furry grey-blue man with four eyes definitely made the top five.

"Easy, Rafiki," he said, holding his hands up placatingly. "Just took a wrong turn at the last darkness fork, I guess, no reason to get your pants in a bunch."

Actually he hadn't been trying to go anywhere in particular, since that never seemed to take him where he wanted to go, anyway, so he'd just stepped through with no real destination in mind to see what would happen. It seemed that when he had no destination in mind, he got sent to the zoo.
